Myself and Joanne packed ourselves off in the car for a trip to Chatham, Kent today for Susan Odev's Mum Ultrapreneur book launch.
We arrived an hour late after Tom Tom decided to direct us to the wrong town! But we managed to get there in one piece.
We were greeted with a drink, nibbles and great cupcakes made by own very own Heidi Bristow of Cherry On The cake! 
We met some lovely people, including Vicki from The Funky Fairy and did some networking.
The lovely Susan Odev and Mark weeks then signed a copy of our books for us. It was a lovely day and great to meet some new people.

Pushchair-maker Maclaren USA has announced a recall of 1m pushchairs in the US after a dozen children had their fingertips amputated in the hinge.
The amputations happened when children placed their finger in the hinge while the pushchair, or stroller, was being unfolded.
The recall involves all Maclaren single and double umbrella pushchairs.
The firm has urged consumers to stop using the pushchairs immediately and to contact it for a repair kit.
Patty Davis of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said the organisation had received a total of 15 reports of injuries to children's fingers.
Twelve of those had resulted in the amputation of fingertips.
She said Maclaren had co-operated with the investigation the CPSC had launched.
The models involved include Volo, Triumph, Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, Techno XLR, Twin Triumph, Twin Techno and Easy Traveller.
The company stressed that models sold in the UK were not affected.
"The most important thing for parents and care-givers to remember is to get the repair kit immediately. Do not use the stroller unless you get the repair kit in place first," Ms Davis said.
She said the free repair kit provided hinge covers for each side of the pushchair, which would restrict access to the hinges.
The pushchair will remain fully functional with the hinge covers attached.
On its website, Maclaren stressed that safety remained its top priority and urged consumers to contact the firm immediately to obtain the repair kit.

We received a phone call the other day with some very exciting news!
Rentabuggy is 1 of 5 finalists for The BT £10,000 Business Grant Award :) Trouble is we now have to go to London next Thursday and pitch in front of a panel of judges inc Managing Director of BT! Argghhh!
We are very excited about this opportunity. Rentabuggy recently celebrated its 1st birthday and it finally feels all the hard work is paying off! Wish us luck!

I can't believe its a week since we set off for The Baby Show at Earls Court, so much has happened since then!
The Baby Show was great fun but hard work. We met some lovely people there including www.kidsoup.tv , www.babyhampshire.co.uk and many more. We did a brief filmed interview for Kidsoup, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
We also managed to meet one of our ompanies we partnership with. Jo and Helen from www.awaywiththekids.co.uk were great and even offered to look after our stand whilst we went and had something to eat. Cheers girlies... nice to finally put a name to a face!
The buzz and atmosphere from meeting our current customers to our new ones was amazing. We managed to gain some great feedback and these included ideas that we are working on currently to make things bigger and better... so watch this space!
Just need a glass or two of wine to recover now ; )

Well tommorrow, Rentabuggy will be heading off to Earls Court to start setting their stand up for the important Baby Show that will be running from Friday the 16th October until Sunday the 16th October 2009.

Myself and Joanne finally made it to the BBC just on time for our slot on the Charlie Crocker show on BBC Radio Solent . After taking a few pictures, we were taken through to the studio where we were sat in front of our microphones ready to talk about our 'Mums In Business' event and Networking Mummies. We were both so nervous, but Charlie was so laid back and friendly she made everything easier for us!
We talked about Networking Mummies and what we are about and also managed to plug our forthcoming event on Thursday night aswell as our own businesses.

In January this year I teamed up with my friend Joanne who is also a mum and runs www.charliemoos.co.uk who specialise in pre-filled cloth party bags. We decided that it would be great if we built a group of mums in business to swap advice, advertising, knowledge and more. So we started our own networking group called Networking Mummies Dorset.
We have built a great group of mums and we do monthly events which include speakers from other companies. We also have fun and meet with the kids or have a well earned mummies night out!
To celebrate National Business Mums Week from the 3rd-10th October myself and Joanne have worked hard to put together a 'Mums In Business' Exhibition on Thursday the 8th October 2009 at The Village Hotel and Leisure Club in Bournemouth from 7-10pm.
